Dr. Nicohls VC

With whats going on in America with the racial discrimination and prejudice, communication between everybody is definitely important. Dr. Jason Nichols is an African American professor and its a good thing that he was able to talk to our class. Racial equality is such a heavy and sensitive topic to talk about, so him dedicating his life to help fight for his cause is a great thing to hear. Being able to educate yourself right now is very important too. I wish Dr. Nichols the best at UMaryland.

Natasha De La Rosa VC

Hearing about essential workers' stories now is very interesting due to the pandemic that is going on right now. Working in a Nursery Home right now is definitely stressful because elderly are also the most exposed to the virus, so its going to take hard work to try and keep everyone safe. Social work is definitely essential to have a safe and well organized community. I find their work to be very interesting and I thank them for what they do for the community.

Michael Guerriero VC

Even though I wasn't there for the video conference, I heard that it was very interesting. Gelotti's is one of my go to places to go and eat ice cream. I wouldn't ever think about the history of the company. The backstory I heard got me a bit more intrigued, and i'll definitely be able to appreciate the ice cream more now. I heard that Settembre expelled Michael for something wrong he did. Its nice to see that from where he came from and what he did as a challenge, made him a successful business man today.

Sal Leto Conference

Its always interesting talking to business owners because each and every one has a different story on how they got to the point that they are at right now. I enjoy listening to entrepreneurs and business men because they always give out tips that helped them succeed, and anyone who is listening can copy them and become successful as well. I am also starting something called an Online Drop shipping Business, where I am basically the middleman. I find products online for cheap, make a website and brand it, then I sell it for more to customers with the help of advertising. I am currently very successful and have been getting a tremendous amount of sales everyday. What helped was that I watched a lot of videos about e-commerce, which is when purchases have been made online, and that led me to my success. I was able to relate to him when he was talking about selling on Amazon, because instead of me selling it on Amazon, I made my own website. I enjoyed our conference with Sal Leto very much...

Julie Goldberg Conference

With whats going on around the world, it is definitely hard being someone who works in the medical field. Julie Goldberg told us about her experiences being a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and there are not many good stories there. My dad is an Internist at an office in Passaic, and he encounters many patients with corona virus, luckily he hasn't contracted it from any one else due to proper social distancing techniques. While listening to Julie Goldberg, I was able to sympathize with her on whats going on at the hospitals and it is truly misfortune and everyone in the world is hoping this will all clear up as soon as possible.

Stay-At-Home Reflection

I would never guess that this would have ever happened now since our health and research now a days are improving and getting better. Because of a virus that has been spreading around quickly, all schools had to get closed to help stop the spread of the virus. This impacts me greatly because I am a senior in high school, and this is supposed to be the fun part of my year, where I would go out everyday with my friends and enjoy my time with them. Being quarantined has caused the exact opposite and I truly dislike it. Being stuck at home is the most boring thing ever that has happened to me. I understand that this is for a reason, but it is just insanely boring. My daily routine is the same: wake up, eat, complete all my school work, work-out for a bit, then just play video games for the rest of the day because there is nothing else to do and I cant even go to work. This has such a negative impact on my last school year and its very unfortunate how it had to happen to my class.

Corona virus Discussion

Whats happening right now in the world is very scary. People and governments are in panic and are making decisions based off of their panic and it has great effects on the people of the country. It's weird how this is happening during my senior year in high school, which is supposed to be my most enjoyable year and the time where I get to have fun with all my friends before we all go off to college. Due to the spread of the virus, many activities, events, businesses, and even educational systems are being shut down to help prevent the spread of the virus. I'm most saddened by the fact that there is a chance that my spring track season is going to get cancelled. I'm hoping that we do go back to school on the 30th and not get an extended break.

Juan Patron Video Conference

Our video conference with Juan Patron was very informational. I'm always intrigued by how entrepreneurs are able to get to the point of being successful and making a living off of their business. I've never considered being an entrepreneur myself and starting my own business, but it seems like a very intricate and well thought out process. Its not easy making a successful business due to competition and other businesses trying to expand. One thing I didn't like about our conference was that it took a while to setup due to Mr. Patron delaying the conference. But in the end the conference was very enjoyable and informational.

Natalya Stahl Video Conference Reflection

Talking to PVHS alumni is always a fun experience because they always have something to say about how the school was different back then and seeing how everything has changed through the years. Hearing about Natalya's experience as a high school student, then going to Oxford University to study was very interesting. For me, I'm not going out of state for college, I prefer living here with my family and friends for now until I graduate university and see what my plan is going to be afterwards. Listening to how she has accustomed to living in the UK was interesting to listen to. It gets me wondering on how I am going to get used to the college experience whenever I talk to anyone who is currently a college student. This video conference was very enjoyable.

Dr. Justin Shafa Video Conference Reflection

I've always had an interest in the medical field, so I thought it was a good thing that I would be able to listen and talk to an actual Interventional Radiologist. The conference as a whole was very interesting and I kept my attention towards Dr. Shafa the whole time. I especially enjoyed the part when he did the show and tell with many different medical instruments that he would use in the hospital. The biopsy needle he should us was pretty interesting to look at, and how it works is pretty cool too. Listening to someone who is a medical professional is very interesting because they tell you what they had to go through to achieve their position, and hearing from Dr. Shafa, it isn't a very easy process. The amount of school work you have to go through is tremendous and takes a lot of dedication and perseverance to complete your studies and earn the degree. I really enjoyed this conference with Dr. Justin Shafa and am looking forward to other conferences that involved people tha...

CITVC Midterm Interview

Interview with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad Z: Thank you for coming to this interview Mr. Assad. Coming over here to the United States to help me conduct this interview with you must have been a troubling hassle. B: No trouble at all, its a pleasure coming here to conduct this interview with you. I always like spreading my ideas and opinions since many people just like to infer many things on their own without my word Z: Okay then how about we get started. Just recently it seems that you made a decision to push the Syrian army into taking back control of the Idlib province, which was the last rebel stronghold were millions of people took refugee after fleeing other parts of Syria earlier in its nearly nine-year civil war. What made you decide to take this route of action Mr. President? B: Having taking control of the Idlib province, this is a huge mark of significance that would help my drive in taking back all of Syria to end the conflict that has already killed hun...
